An Ohio-based group of Democratic Hillary Clinton supporters say they’ll work actively against Sen. Barack Obama if he becomes the nominee, arguing that Clinton has been the subject of “intense sexism” by party leaders and the media.
Organizers Cynthia Ruccia, 55, and Jamie Dixey, 57, both from the Columbus area, say they’re coordinating women, men, minorities, union members and others in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Florida and Michigan – all important swing states next November – to impress upon Democratic party leaders what they think has been outright discrimination – and not of the racial kind.
According to Ms. Ruccia:
“We have been vigilant against expressions of racism, and we are thrilled that the society has advanced that way” in accepting Obama as a serious candidate. But it’s been open season on women, and we feel we need to stand up and make a statement about that, because it’s wrong. We’re being told to sit down, shut up, and get with the program.”
If Ms. Ruccia would stop feeling for a moment and begin thinking, she might be able to grasp a simple concept about all political races: there’s a winner and there’s a loser. Obama is the winner and Clinton is the loser. With supporters like this, is it any wonder Hillary Clinton finds herself in second place?

The dumbest thing I’ve heard my sisters say is if Obama is the nominee, they will vote for McCain. They say he won’t be so bad and the Democrats will oppose any of his appointment to the Supreme Court. Like you say, these women just aren’t thinking — they’re feeling. If these women help McCain get elected, wave good-bye to Choice.

I wouldn’t presume to be a feminist man but doesn’t this behavior just exploit every stereotype people have about touchy-feely women who don’t think?

WTF is the matter with these women? You mean to tell me their love of Hillary Clinton and their hatred of Barack Obama is more important to them than protecting abortion rights? Wake up, Hillbots. If McCain becomes president, dry cleaner won’t be the only use for wire hangers, if you get my drift.

Either their kids will be sent to war or they will face the coming Depression or both. All because they will support a lunatic since their little darlin didn’t get what she wants.

McCain said U.S. troops may stay in Iraq 100 years.
Is this really what the Hillbots want? If it is, then I say go ahead and vote for McCain. He will be their gift to their children and grandchildren.
Dumb, dumb, dumb.

Shaking my head in disappointment. I would love to see a woman elected as President of the United States – just not THAT woman. For these ladies to claim that HRC has been the subject of “intense sexism” is one thing; for them to take their revenge out on the Obama for America campaign is another thing entirely.
It is becoming more and more clear as each primary goes by, that HRC and her supporters are selfish jerks (terminology usually reserved for the men they love bashing, but here I think it is most fitting); they would rather sink the entire cause, and have their children and ours suffer the consequences, than to acknowledge the fact that Obama is simply better for the task than HRC is.
So when women’s rights suffer significant set backs as a result of another R administration, I hope they don’t have the audacity to complain…but something tells they will.

What “open season on women” are these morons bleating about? That’s what pisses me off about…well, pretty much everything. People like that start running off at the mouth about how “they” are being “attacked” without one scintilla of evidence –of course, they backhandedly argue that racism hasn’t been a factor in this campaign (and “bullshit” to that stupid assertion) in order to cover up their own inane arguments against Obama. Can they even point to his campaign and argue that he has endorsed/supported gender baiting the way Hillary has endorsed/supported race/religion-baiting?

Another professional victim, this time a woman. I guess they are evolving on the same path as the ‘angry white men’ of years gone by.
This is one of the most annoying characteristics that we Americans have: Most of us are whinny, sniveling cry babies. And yet, in comparison to most of the world, we have so many material possessions, we are well fed and do not live under harsh political/religious oppression.
We should have a ’stupidity’ test to prevent idiots like Cynthia Ruccia from voting. Oh, and maybe we can start a fund to send her to a country where sexism IS a problem, so she will have some idea about how damaging it is to women when she cries ’sexism’ because of sour grapes.

I am really copping an attitude towards the older boomers wtf is their problem. They think they are so hip and they suck out loud, they proclaim they are not homophobic and they are, they proclaim they are not racist and they are – yes i am 51 and ashamed of the way some of my generation have sold out long ago and become part of the problem…the problem with these women is they are selfish and blind..they care mostly about their leetle white dtrs vs. every girl or boy or inbetween having the message that THEY can be anything they want to be – pure unadulterated selfishness on their parts
..and they also refuse to see face reality – its over for the shill ! What will it take for them to wake up and smell the cofffee -opps i mean defeat..good bye clinton legacy , you will go down as Narcissitic Power Mongers. ….sheesh..what a bunch of selfish dolts.

What these women fail to remember is that the person who is 3rd in line to the presidency is a woman, and she was voted into her job by mostly a bunch of white men. She was able to navigate her way into a position of political power without being divisive. But Nancy Pelosi is a woman who approaches her powerful role in a completely different way than Hillary — no crocodile tears or cries of victimhood from Speaker Pelosi.
Yes, there is sexism in society, and yes, we need to make progress in this area. But Hillary is a very poor example of how a woman should navigate her way in our present society.
Hillary can attribute much of her political demise to the actions of the two main men in her life — Bill Clinton and Mark Penn. Ironic, isn’t it?
Barack Obama is going to be a wonderful advocate for women’s rights, and any woman who is too caught up in the Hillary personality cult to see that is going to be very sorry indeed if their votes give John McCain the presidency. He will set back the rights of all of us for decades to come.
These women will only hurt Hillary in the end. And it will be a real test of leadership for Hillary to see if she can bring these women’s votes in for Obama in November. If she doesn’t, her political career is over, completely over. She will not be forgiven for this.

Cynthia was on “The Factor” with Kimberly Myers of Pennsylvania,a sister. They said that they will vote for McPain if Hillary doesn’t win.I like to see their stance on Affirimative Action and Abortion. They went on Oreilly’s show to call Sen.Obama a racist and a sexist, makes sense to me.

I can’t say I have ever known a woman who would support or tolerate a man who calls his wife a “c**t.”
The blind adoration these Hillbots have for Hillary borders on the mind-control techniques practiced by the former East Germany.
To think they would cast a vote for John McCain, a social conservative every bit as much a winger as George W. Bush, because they labor under some type of mistaken belief that electing McCain will punish Barack Obama for defeating Hillary Clinton, proves Ann Coulter’s opinion that women have no business voting.

Cynthia and Jamie, it’s time to grow up!

You people are missing the point. Not only is Hillary Clinton the better candidate of the two, but Obama is a bad candidate. I’ve been a Democrat all my life, and I don’t care if Obama is black, green or purple, he will be bad for the country. Are you all forgetting his background? Rev Wright, consorting with radicals, his black separatist hateful wife? All of this goes into making the man. Obama calls these things mere distractions and doesn’t want to talk about them. I don’t wonder why, I wouldn’t want to talk about them either. His speeches are eloquent, but the words are empty and spoken for political expediency. The blacks revere him…”the Messiah”they call him. They don’t care what he says because they see a chance to get one of their own in as president. Yes a noble cause, but for God’s sake make it someone who would make a good president. To the young voters he is a “rock star”, again no thought going into it. I firmly believe with all my heart that Obama would be bad for this country. I worked hard for Hillary, but the powers that be in the party, the media and her own baggage are against her. So…if she is not the candidate, I will do everything I can to stop Obama. That means voting for John McCain in November. Oh by the way do you remember who was being suggested for VP when Kerry ran in 04? Do you remember who the only Republican Senator was that spoke out against the swift boating of Kerry? Yes…John McCain an honorable man. This is something that Obama cannot claim.
