Obama Moves Ahead of Clinton in Superdelegates
Friday, May 9, 2008
Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama has surged ahead of rival Hillary Clinton in superdelegates and erased her once commanding lead.
The NYT’s reports:
Obama racked up seven new endorsements in the last 24 hours from superdelegates.
The tally shows Barack Obama with 266 superdelegates against 263 for Hillary Clinton, based on telephone polls conducted with CBS News as well as public endorsements.
Obama picked up the support of New Jersey Rep. Donald Payne, Oregon Congressman Peter DeFazio, Ed Espinoza, a California member of the Democratic party’s national committee, John Gage, president of the largest union of Federal employees, and Wilber Lee Jeffcoat, a Democratic party official from South Carolina.

I can’t wait to hear who Obama selects to be his running mate.
I hope he or she is someone brilliant and then we won’t have to worry about 2016. Just a seemless era of 16 years of Democratic control of the presidency!

Impressive numbers to be sure.
Now, if the remaining superdelegates will step out into the sunlight and make the intention known, we can get on with the nomination and end this charade that there are two Democrats in the race.
As others have said, the primary was really decided many weeks ago when Barack swept Maryland and Virginia. Much was made of Pennsylvania and Ohio but in reality, they were just bumps in the road to the convention.

Does this mean Hillary can stop channeling David Duke now?

This has to move forward. She needs to step away from the campaign, put her hands over her head and stop moving.

Ugh, I saw Stephanie Tubbs Jones on MSNBC saying the words “Hillary could win” and “by an act of God.” Hillary is scary.

Even God can’t save Hillary now. Everyone knows it except the Clintons. This is becoming one of the strangest things I’ve ever seen in a national political race.

The Land of Denial….a place where pantsuits and Flagpins can save amerika….to think that Bill and Hill have not wised up is scary…it shows that she is not fit to be prez…..maybe she needs a 3 am phone call….

Great news, I think this is just the tip of the iceberg.

All I can say is, splendid, splendid and splendid once again. I really think the so-called “undecided superdelegates” aren’t undecided at all. They’re just being careful not to anger Americans who haven’t gone to the polls yet in places like Oregon and West Virginia.
