NY Repugs Set Deadline For Spitzer Impeachment Proceedings

Eliot Spitzer, AKA, Client #9 is not expected to continue as governor of New York and may resign within days, according to sources at WCBS. Gov. Spitzer has been linked to a global a prostitution ring with ties to money laundering and the Gambino crime family.
State Assemblyman James Tedisco (R-Schenectady) told WCBS that he spoke with Lt. Governor Paterson Monday evening and that the two discussed Paterson taking on a new role of leadership, leading Tedisco to believe that action was “forthcoming.”
Tedisco said if Spitzer does not resign according to a deadline that’s been imposed, state Republican leadership will call for impeachment proceedings to begin.

The Luv Guv needs to quietly resign and work to save his marriage and the trust of his family. This isn’t the first time a man cheated and got busted. Some marriages survive, while others don’t. It’s sad for the Spitzer kids who have to deal with their father’s overactive penis. That is the tragedy here.

A resignation may be a part of the plea agreement the Feds offered Gov. Spitzer.
If the charges are true, Spitzer violated the Mann Act (I know) the makes illegal the transportation of prostitutes across state lines. The Mann Act was intended to give the Feds the teeth to protect men and women from being exploited and sold into the slave trade.
I’ve heard the Gambino family angle but I haven’t read anything concrete about this.

I think it is great that Spitzer is working for equal opportunity in sex scandals. God knows, the Republicans have had their fair share recently enough. The puffed-up hypocrisy of Randall Tobias, staunch defender of the anti-prostitution “Loyalty Oath”, stood head and shoulders above the rest for too many months. Rah rah for Spitzer, leveling the playing field.
