Hillary’s Word: It’s Worth Nothing

Wednesday, January 30, 2008

The Manchester Union Leader has a withering piece on the Borg Queen today.

Clinton kept her name on the Michigan ballot when others removed theirs, she campaigned this past weekend in Florida, and she is pushing to seat Michigan and Florida delegates at the Democratic National Convention. The party stripped those states of delegates as punishment for moving up their primary dates.

“I will try to persuade my delegates to seat the delegates from Michigan and Florida,” Clinton said last week, after the New Hampshire primaries and Iowa caucuses were safely over.

Clinton coldly and knowingly lied to New Hampshire and Iowa. Her promise was not a vague statement. It was a signed pledge with a clear and unequivocal meaning.

She signed it thinking that keeping the other candidates out of Michigan and Florida was to her advantage, but knowing she would break it if that proved beneficial later on. It did, and she did.

New Hampshire voters, you were played for suckers.

If Shillery had lost Michigan or Florida would she still want their delegates to count?

    NO!

  2. feminazi says:

Correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t the solution for Hillary to run as an independent? This would free her of having to follow party rules and she could do pretty much whatever she damn well pleases to do.

Sorry to get off topic Christopher but CBS is reporting that John Edwards will drop out at 11:00 today but will not endorse anyone right now.

  4. Brigadoon says:

Too bad the Manchester Union didn’t speak out so forcefully before the primary? Maybe if they had it would’ve changed the outcome of the election there?

  5. Rachel says:

The Borg Queen was on CNN just now:

    “I believe……..”
    “I believe……..”
    “I believe……..”

It’s always about her. Never “we.”

    She’s just horrible.

It amazes me how willing the Democrats are to tell the duly elected representatives of a state how to handle their own affairs, when to have a primary. And then tell over 1 million people who show up at the polls, your votes don’t count.

That truly is the Democratic way.
