Lieberman Holds Fundraiser for Republican Sen. Susan Collins

Connecticut Sen. Joe Lieberman (I), will hold a fundraiser in Washington DC tonight for Bush sweetheart, Republican Sen. Susan “Babytalk” Collins. Collins will likely face a tough reelection fight next year. She is opposed by the very attractive Democrat, Rep. Tom Allen.

In response to the Lieberman event, MoveOn.org yesterday issued a press release stating that its members had raised $350,000 for Tom Allen. It’s also worth noting here that newly Independent New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg was a huge financial backer of Lieberman’s reelection effort last year.

Should Collins lose her senate seat to Allen and Bloomberg decides not to enter the race for president, will Lieberman find himself even more isolated come November 5, 2008 with President Bush not there to suck up to?

I detest Holy Joe. I live in Connecticut and in no way, shape or form does he represent me or my beliefs. Lieberman is an embarrassment to the human race. He’s worthless and I can’t understand why he just doesn’t go all the way over to the dark side and become a Republican?

  • Sen. Susan “Babytalk” Collins

Hehehehe. Yeah, she does sound like she’s auditioning for a phone sex job. Then no one would have to see her. ;-)

  • I believe the reason Joementum doesn’t change parties is that he wants to give the finger to Reid and the other Dems just to aggravate them.

  • Let’s hope Rep. Tom Allen is a stronger candidate than Ned Lamont was. I liked Lamont but, he often reminded me of a frightened rabbit. You can’t show the opposition fear or they’ll take advantage of you.

Just like Lieberman did to Lamont.

The Dems need to stop being afraid of the likes of Lieberman.

Remember folks, he’s not — I repeat, he’s NOT a Democrat. He’s a conservative independent and when push comes to shove, he will always honey up to President Bush and the GOP. Whether he remains an independent or becomes a registered Republican is of no consequence. He votes with Bush everytime.

Why the Democrats continue to court him like there’s a chance he’s on our side is a mystery to me. Just get rid of him once and for all like you would any other garbage.
