Bush Family Purchases 100,000 Acre Ranch in Paraguay?

As calls for his impeachment grow louder, coupled with possible war crimes trials to begin next year, President George W. Bush may be thinking that South America would make a fine place to retire.

At least two sources now report that Bush has purchased an isolated 100,000 acre ranch in Acuifero Guarani, Paraguay - a favored escape route for convicted Nazi war criminals following WWII.

Prensa Latina reports:

An Argentine official regarded the intention of the George W. Bush family to settle on the Acuifero Guarani (Paraguay) as surprising, besides being a bad signal for the governments of the region. Luis D Elia, undersecretary for the Social Habitat in the Argentine Federal Planning Ministry, issued a memo partially reproduced by digital INFOBAE.com, in which he spoke of the purchase by Bush of a 98,842-acre farm in northern Paraguay, between Brazil and Bolivia.

Another rumored land deal involves the the U.S. military and Paraguay.

Five hundred U.S. troops arrived in Paraguay with planes, weapons, and ammunition in July 2005, shortly after the Paraguayan Senate granted U.S. troops immunity from national and International Criminal Court (ICC) jurisdiction. Neighboring countries and human rights organizations are concerned that the massive air base at Mariscal Estigarribia, Paraguay is potential real estate for the U.S. military.

The timing of the U.S. military operation into Paraguay and the Bush family’s land acquisition in Paraguay cannot be an accident.

Also, Jenna Bush’s recent 10 day visit to Paraguay may have less to do with her work for UNICEF (as reported) and more to do with finalizing the land purchase for her family.

The UK Guardian reports:

Rumours of Mr Bush’s supposed forays into South American real estate surfaced during a recent 10-day visit to the country by his daughter Jenna Bush. Little is known about her trip to Paraguay, although officially she travelled with the UN children’s agency Unicef to visit social projects. Photographers from the Paraguayan newspaper ABC Color tracked her down to one restaurant in Paraguay’s capital Asunción, where she was seen flanked by 10 security guards, and was also reported to have met Paraguay’s president, Nicanor Duarte, and the US ambassador to Paraguay, James Cason. Reports in sections of the Paraguayan media suggested she was sent on a family “mission” to tie up the land purchase in the “chaco”.

Christopher – This story was also reported in Canada and Mexico. It has been ignored in the US. Wonder why?

Paraguay’s Acuifero Guarani is the largest fresh water aquifer in South America and is located under 4 entire countries.

If George Bush purchases a large enough ranch that provides him with control over access to the aquifer, he will be a power position to control fresh water rights for more than 200,000 South Americans.

Some ecologists say in the 21st century, fresh water – essential for all life on earth, will be more valuable than oil or gold. So buy controlling access to Acuifero Guarani, Bush will become the South American equivalent of the Saudi royal family.

Not to mention providing him and his family with a safe haven to escape the reaches of the American and world courts if that day comes.

All dictators eventually wind up in South America. Bush is just following in the path of those who came before him. His elders, if you will.

As we contemplate our very own South American bound dictator and his possible relocation to Paraguay, let’s also remember that December 10th is Impeachment Day.

December 10, 2006: Human Rights and Impeachment Day

December 10 is Human Rights Day, and this year we’re making it Human Rights and Impeachment Day. Slogan: “Putting Impeachment on the Table.”

We encourage you to organize a town hall forum or rally on this day for the impeachment of Bush and Cheney.

And to think. This arrogant son-of-a-bitch thought no one was watching and listening?

I like the idea of Paraguayan containment for the Bush dynasty. There have been few families in modern history more evil than the Bush clan. Beginning with Prescott Bush and moving along the bloodline to the current occupant of the White House, these men are driven by the need to obtain power. They need power the way the rest of us need food and water in order to survive.

Paraguay is the new Panama, so it stands to reason Bush would feel comfortable building his getaway home there.

So far from the reach of the U.S. courts, the media and accountability.

And we wonder why the planet hates us?

  • Brigadoon

The Nazis fled to S. America too. So it stands to reason that George W. Bush would follow in their footsteps and with a new U.S. military base in the pipeline, he will have his very own military to protect him. The American people were just plain fucking stupid to ever elect this thug.

Matteo & steve, Other than a tiny mention in the Boston Globe, I have had no luck finding anything about the USA’s growing military presence in Paraguay and certainly zero mention of the Bush cabal buying ranch property there.

Source citing, as usual, is courtesy of the British media.

  • Where is the media on this? Our so-called “wartime president” buying land in South America in preparation for his escape from justice? Someone has to pickup this story and run with it.

  • steve higgins

    feminazi,

The Boston Globe covered the Bush/Paraguay/Marines/ranch story?

Why, I am trul stunned that any corporate-American owned newspaper would be so courageous as to mention it. The New York Times and the Washington Post haven’t printed a word about it. So timid, you know.

  • Folks, we have our very own prznit running for his life. Why else would Paraguay be in his plans? Until his election, he only traveled to two or three furrin’ countries. Why would he want to “retire” in Paraguay? Maybe the sun? Probably not. The MSM in this country will never talk about this because it would bring up many “difficult” topics to consider. How can so many of us be so very blind to the crumbling condition of our country? Why does loyalty to “dear leader” make normal and patriotic americans make such poor choices? Are they really the afraid of “dark people”? It just occured to me: Paraguay is filled with dark people. How about that?

Can Bush do this Constitutionally? I thought the Constitution prevented a sitting US president from purchasing and taking title of foreign land? It stems from the Founding Fathers seeking to limit precisely what Bush is preparing to do: run away to a far away country if he’s found guilty of breaking the law. Do any of your readers have more knowledge of this than me?

  • I recall reading something about this a few months ago on a blog. It made sense then, but provided with the additional details and links to sourcing like the Guardian, it all fits together.

Here’s what I think. The Bush family is preparing for all hell to break in 2007, as committees and investigations get underway pointing to criminal behavior in the White House, and if Executive Privilege protects Lil’ George, then watch for a foreign country such as Germany to go after him.

  • rallyagainsttheright

South America and control of a fresh water acquifer will be a perfect place for a relocating despot like George W. Bush. In the 21st century, our leading exports will be crooks and criminals like Bush. It is the beginning of a trend.

Though I am no Bush lover, I think most lefties don’t see the true significance in the Bush family perhaps splitting to a South American haven. Money and power are privy to knowledge be you a Bush, Clinton, or the Queen of England. Take a look at the ‘I AM America’ maps. The earth is changing and the royal rats are seeking ‘high ground’ and better vantage points. You’ll live long enough to see it.

Now that all you “Yanks” finaly realize what a horrible and repulsive President George W Bush is, I find it simply astonishing that No One ever wonders how this man was given a second term, even it the face of overwhelming evidence? I understand, he was democraticly elected, well for the second term any way, by the AMERICAN people. You all have my pity however, in this case you are all getting what you absolutely deserve. Now off to work with you and try hard not to run over the family pet with your SUV’s.
    Very Sincerely
    Tom Watso: A proud Canadian

  • I believe ol Georgie is hitting the sauce again and he is about to go on the “mother of all benders”. We need help. At least he has solidified his place in history as the worst, stupidist, most incompetent President in the history of the US.

  • By the way, Watso the proud canadian. I see your leaders were little sheep and contributed your led a stray soldiers to the “theater” as well. You need to take the hockey puck out of your ass and put down the beer and smokes and then you can talk. Your country has beauty but is still our little stepsister. So be a good little stepsister and shut up and wait to do as we (US) tell you.,eh! Your hockey teams havent won a Stanley Cup in a while, did ya happen to notice we took that away from you as well?

THE ETHANOL AGREEMENT WITH BRAZIL MIGHT GIVE US AN INSIGHT INTO THE 100,000 ACRE PURCHASE IN PARAGUAY. COULD IT BE POSSIBLE A SUGAR CANE FARM WITH AN ETHANOL PROCESSING PLANT BE IN THE FUTURE?

  • Surfin' Dude

Getting back to REALITY!…FOR THOSE WHO CRAVE TRUE JUSTICE.
The WAR CRIMINAL has bought a hideout. And since Paraguay will give immunity to another war criminal? Justice should be swift and “just”. Meaning the WAR CRIMINAL gets his “just dues”. Life, with no possibility, of parole.
Starting with the Downing Street Memos. (A total of 8, pre-war meetings.) And ending with illegal wiretaps, entry of residence without warrants, and TREASON, for outing Valerie Plame.
I don’t agree with the death penalty. I do seek justice, the legal route.
    HOPE…Our Country hears our plea.

  • pedro

The land will be used to service a military base (c.f. Halliburton in Iraq) in the area on an almost exclusive basis. And, run an ethanol plant as a by-product. Its about money…for the benefit of the Family of Bush. It IS about personal enrichment for the few…just like the Iraq war was.

  • what about August 19-21, when he sells your country from under you? say goodbye to your “American Flag”. He will be meeting with Mexico and Canadian leaders in Montebello, Quebec, Canada to sign “The North American Union”. no more borders and a new currency the ”
Amero” this is all so sad!

  • Now the idiot Americans will begin to say how come they don’t hear about this from our media resources. As if! When will small minded people in the USA wake up to reality. Too bad humanity is so inhuman… Otherwise ideas such as Che’s might work. However we see Russia and China despotic regimes as bad or worse than imperialism. There if you open your mouth as we are doing the knock comes in the night and you are never seen again… My cousin was in her early 20’s when such a knock came and after she said: “Who’s there?” — the military in Argentina shot their machine guns through her door and killed her.

  • He never was elected. The supreme court appointed him president then turned around in 2005 and said it could not be done again because they did’nt have the legal right to do it the first time. Renquist

  • Note second term was with computerized voting machines with secret codes that are transmitted and received wirelessly off site. Who says he was voted anything. I’ed like to see you prove it.

I was thinking the other day that maybe GW is Hitler reincarnated. The dates make it possible although it would have been a quick turnover. Then I read this article about Bush buying land in Paraguay just like all the other fugitive Nazis and I think “Whoa!”.

Will Bush call it “The Eagle’s Den” or “The Wolf’s Nest?”

I would call it “Teh Monkey House.” Deep within land-locked Paraguay Bush will hide from justice, surrounded by a couple hundred handsomely paid Blackwater mercenaries.

The whole Bush clan will have a comfortable place to hide from justice. Finally they will get to have barbecues with South American dictators and old Nazis. You know, just plain folks.

  • Samuel

Dears I am from paraguay and because of my work I need to travel around the country. And yeah, we have heard about Bush’s land, the rumors refers to NW region, a very arid region (low precipitation) and the soil characteristics of that region is not compatible with sugar cane production and consequently ethanol… We consider his oil and water interest, some months ago (February) I have met a truck of an arabian company (it was written Dubai and oil) right in the middle of Paraguayan Chaco, and one of the men told he was from Mexico and he was working for that company in Paraguayan territory… Chaco has a lot of oil marks prospection where some has writen on the top: US Government Property (we do not know exactly what are the real interest of Bush family, but one thing is obvious: one the lowest land’s price around the globe and consequently one of the lowest production cost considering agricultural products (beef, soybean, corn), all paraguayan territory is located over acquifero guarany and with an unknown oil and gas potential really atracts strong companies (Paraguay is receveing a lot of foreign people who are buying large land extension specially in Chaco.

Dan McNabb has it right – fuel – the foundation of the current Shrub [er, bush] empire. If it also means becoming a water lord, then that’s just icing. The paranoia over socialist inroads in S.America have the war mongers foaming!

He might just pull it off. He’s destroying our military in iraq and afganastan. No one wants to enlist in our military , if that’s the case then this family are very evil people.Sorry my fellow americans to be the barer of bad news but meet the jim jones of the future. But I’m not to worried about it if not us chavez would wipe-out his intire army and 3/4 of his population just to give Jr a good swift kick in the ass and his jails make ours look like vacation resorts. And I would not be a pit surprised if in their hands he might just have the same demise that saddam did.Lou
