Sen. Rick Santorum (R-PA), the founder of the infamous K Street Project is the number one recipient of lobbyist monies, according to a report just published by Congress Watch of Public Citizen.
Between the 1998-2004 election cycles, Sen. Rick "man on dog sex" Santorum received $1,163,560 from registered lobbyists. This breaks down to: $838,133 from individuals, and $325,427 from their political action committees or PACS.
Only disgraced and indicted former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay received more lobbyist money. Delay took in $1,322,906. But Delay no longer counts, as he's resigned to face Federal charges.
The notoriously homophobic Santorum is fighting to retain his Senate seat and if the polls hold through November, he will lose to it to his Democratic challenger, former Pennsylvania state treasurer Bob Casey.

Might explain his extremist views on women’s rights and gays.

When Santorum is defeated, and I believe he will be, his next job will no doubt be a lobbyist for the oil industry or some other vile industry like kiddie porn.
